The One That ALMOST Got Away
It was my turn to drive, which usually I didn't mind, but the radio had just gone out in the hoop ride I drove. For anyone who has seen the Beastie Boys' Sabotage video, the brown car, that is what I was driving; same color, same hubcaps. The car didn't have any air conditioning so the windows were always down. But for all it's quirks, this car had personality and my friend and l loved driving it around. We live in Florida and were on our way out to the beach to meet some friends. Well in order to be just right once we got to the bar we decided to smokeour only blunt in the car on the ride out there. Now this wasn't the first time either one of us had undergone this highly illegal and highly enjoyable activity. We were riding down the interstate singing Paul Revere to ourselves, like I said the radio didn't work and this was the only song both o! f us knew all the words to. We were also smoking, passing back and forth and ashing out the windows going 70-75 mphs. That wasn't the problem. I get off at the exit going about 10-15 mph and what did I do? YEP, I dropped half the blunt right out the car window. Now being the stoner that I am, my first response was FUCK and my second response was to pull over. We were about a block and a half away from where I'd dropped it. I took the one side of the road and my friend took the other. We were walking back and forth just looking down at the road, trying to find our weed, cars passing by and people honking at us probably wonder what the hell we were doing. I was wondering what I was doing? Was I that much of a pothead that I had to pull over and look for half a blunt. When I asked my friend this she said "Yes" and we spent the next ten minutes looking. After letting out a spew of profanities, and boy did I ! come up with some cause even I didn't know I knew that many, I stopped, I shut up and I looked down and right there between my feet was my blunt!!!!!!!!! I picked it up, we got back in the car, lighted that pain in my ass blunt and continued down the road getting high and signing Paul Revere.
